Caraiman Monastery

5 minutes walk from the hotel is Caraiman Monastery. It was founded in 1998 on the initiative of our Worthy Father Gherontie Puiu. It is situated at the foot of Bucegi Mountains, bordered top of "Cross Caraiman" built in 1928, at an altitude of 2291 meters, was the highest steel structure located in a mountainous area. 
Situated in town, a tourist town by excellence, through which transit passage from Bucharest to Brașov and Bran - Rucar Caraiman monastery is a place of retreat and return to God.

Bușteni Cable car

The cable car leads directly to the Bucegi Plateau leaving behind the hotel. Once on top, you are very close to all the main attractions of the Bucegi Mountains.


Mountain Trails

For those who want to discover the majesty of the mountains on foot, our hotel is the perfect starting point, being the start for three main mountain trails of logs. These are:

Blue Triangle: leads to Piatra Arsă cottage (altitude of 1950m)

Red Point: ;eads to the Royal Sheepfold (altitude of 1270m)

Blue Cross: leads to Babele lodge on the Bucegi plateau (altitude of 2200m)

Bucegi Mountains

Bucegi Mountains, with an area of 300 km2, is located at the eastern extremity of the Southern Carpathians, unfolding between Prahova Valley in the east and Bran Corridor and Ialomiţa Valley to the west; falling sharply to the north towards Bârsa depression and to the south until the contact with the curvature Sub-Carpathians. It covers territory of Dâmboviţa, Prahova and Brașov counties. Being a structural, morphological and with a high complexity, the massif appears as a natural fortress with suspended premises at 1600 - 2500 m, supported by strong slopes.

Babele

Babele are rocky formations next to the peak Baba Mare (2292 m), located in the Bucegi Mountains of the Southern Carpathians. Important Landmark, Babele lodge is located below the top of the same name and is the central starting point for hiking in Bucegi mountains.

Babele are „erosion witnesses”, formed by wind erosion differentiated the various strata are carved (Cretaceous conglomerates) and are in the immediate vicinity of the lodge of the same name.

The Sphinx

The Sphinx of the Bucegi Mountains is an anthropomorphic megalith located at 2,216m altitude. Origin of the name Sphinx is due to its resemblance to a human head, specifically the similarities Egyptian Sphinx, its formation is due to wind erosion (wind). Formed from a large stone block over long time taking it's shape that it has today, the Bucegi Sphinx, situated on the Bucegi Plateau, measuring 8 meters high and 12 meters wide.

Heroes Cross or Caraiman Cross

heroes Cross is a monument built between 1926-1928 on Caraiman Mountain, at the altitude of 2291m, in memory of the heroes that died in the First World War. At the base of caraiman peak, the city of Bușteni is situated .

Omu Peak

Omu peak of the Bucegi mountains is ranked eleventh between the mountain peaks of Romania, situated in Bucegi, representing the highest point of these mountains. It's altitude is 2.505 meters, by other measurements, 2.507 meters, at the base of the top boulder, or 2,514 meters in it's top. Visible from Piatra Craiului Ridge, as well from the Prahova Valley.

Padina - Bolboci area

Bolboci lake is a natural dam lake in Bucegi Mountains, on Ialomița river, behind Bolboci dam, with a volume of 13 million m³. Bolboci river flows into Bolboci lake.

Bolboci lodge is located on the lake-shore and was built in 1928. Until 1971, it was used only in the summer, because it lacked a fireplace and it wasn't covered with iron tiles. Is at a distance of 8 km of Sinaia and 10 km (2 hour walk) of Ialomița Cave.

Also this area is known for it's festivals that take place here every year.
